Who We Are

Bridging Craft Heritage with Modern Livelihoods

Chhaap (meaning 'imprint') is a social development initiative by the Infinity Foundation. We work in the rural fringes of Panvel, Maharashtra, training resilient women who seek livelihood opportunities. By teaching them the intricate, artistic skill of hand-block printing, we foster creative freedom and reliable, sustainable income.

Our designs are deliberately curated to look fresh, modern, and light, fitting perfectly into the contemporary home and wardrobe. Every kurta, shawl, purse, and pillow cover we make tells a story of skill, dedication, and personal growth.

Our Method

The Art of the Stamp

Learn how each product transitions from simple organic threads to rich, detailed block prints through patience and practice.

01

Wood Block Carving

Traditional designs are transformed into contemporary layouts. Master woodcarvers etch these custom geometric and botanical patterns onto seasoned teak wood block stamps.

02

Dye Formulation

We blend natural organic ingredients and premium skin-friendly pigments to create rich, durable indigo, terracotta, and soft charcoal dyes in our Panvel printing workshop.

03

Precision Stamping

Our trained rural artisans align the blocks by eye and apply perfect, rhythmic pressure onto linen, cotton, and raw silk, creating the signature handcrafted charm of Chhaap.
